Week Eight of my project

This week is the penultimate week of the project as next week will be putting up the work and making sure everything is complete. This week i have started to produce the outer frame from wood. in addition to this i have also started paintings on chip board as when this is painted on it holds the colours a lot more, and allows there to be added texture to the paintings. In addition i have used water based oil paints as it has a fast open time, therefore i can place layer upon layer over a short period of time, when compared to normal oil paints.
Next week i will be finishing everything and completing a overall evaluation.

Week Seven of my project

This image above is from my sketchbook, showing the progress within my work, this past week i have been playing around with the ideas of paintings and the possible layout and close ups i will choose, to do this i have decided to only choose 6 paintings out of a possible 10 as this will give me a good enough range to choose from. So far from what i have achieved this week i believe that producing the paintings in a sepia tones works a lot better than black and white as it gives more depth and life to the fabric as it is more 3-dimensional.
Next week i will be producing my final outcomes of photographs and paintings and my instillation piece this will hopefully work as i am planning to create an 4x8 ft column frame with paintings and photograph surrounding the outside and then situated in the middle will be a variety of wrapped objects and if possible a model on the final exhibition.
