Week Eight of my project
This week is the penultimate week of the project as next week will be putting up the work and making sure everything is complete. This week i have started to produce the outer frame from wood. in addition to this i have also started paintings on chip board as when this is painted on it holds the colours a lot more, and allows there to be added texture to the paintings. In addition i have used water based oil paints as it has a fast open time, therefore i can place layer upon layer over a short period of time, when compared to normal oil paints.

Week Five of my project

I have been drawing my models to look at the shapes, lines and forms within the models fabric and the idea of paintings them whole, however i do feel it may be better to paint close ups of sections rather than the whole model. therefore over the next couple of weeks i may look at close ups of areas.

Week Three of my project
Over the weekend i went out on location shoots, with two models and took a range of photographs. I travelled to Alderly Edge and Teggs Nose, both located around Macclesfield. Whilst walking around Alderly Edge and Teggs Nose i spotted some locations for some photographs and possibly some paintings, therefore i took Photographs and carried out some sketches.
The above Photograph was taken at Alderly Edge, using a LSR Digital Camara. However I wanted the photograph to have a old, aged burnt edge effect, creating an atmospheric and dramatic sense to the photograph, also i wanted to make the model stand out more.

Next i will be carrying out some more work on the other photographs, and carring out some more photoshoots on location and in the studio.

Week Two of my project

On Friday the 16Th of April, I took two models into the studio and took some test shots of them wrapped up in cotton fabric, however when i looked more closely at the photographs on the apple mac screen, i soon came to realise that they are showing what i wanted the viewer to see.
I wanted the viewer to be able to see the features of the model, but without giving away who it is.
To enhance the features i decided to use Photo shop, changing the mode to "grey scale" and playing around with the "level". In addition due to the backdrop being dirty i had to use the heal tool to get rid of he dirty marks.
However i will be doing another photo shoot, as i need to use many different models to gain a variety of shapes and sizes. In addition i will be going out on locations and taking photographs and maybe take a couple of models up to the locations as well.
